Providing support, guidance, and compassionate care during a difficult time.
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is never easy. Your reasons for saying goodbye are your own, and we are here to support you in that time.
The term euthanasia literally means “good death.” Fortunately for our pets, we do not have to let them suffer from a serious condition and can ease their discomfort. The time is different for everyone and will depend on some factors that one of our veterinarians can talk to you about. We are here to guide you in deciding when it’s time to say goodbye.
We do not offer in-home euthanasia through the clinic. However, there is a house call veterinarian in the Kingston region who only focuses on helping you say goodbye in the comfort of your home. We will be happy to give you their contact information if this is of interest to you. Please note, they typically do not work on an emergency or on-call basis, and time must be set up in advance.
Please contact us at the clinic by phone or email to discuss this. It will vary depending on what you wish to do with your pet’s remains after they are gone. We offer communal or private cremation.
We do not provide counselling in the clinic but are able to give you the contact information for groups that can help you through the grieving process.
